Yndia is a “Babaylan” during the 1st century Spanish colonial period. This accessory combined together with the “Batek” or “Traditional Tattoos” of the indigenous northern part of Luzon, in the Philippines are now status symbols of the past. Historically, these elements have come together and became a symbol of nobility, courage and beauty. They rendered it by rituals bringing out the aesthetic costumes and adornments. The concept of my creation is to revive our ancestors lost art and restoring its cultural contribution of beauty and identity. PRANA is the subtle power of the basis of life; energy of the mind, the commander-in-chief of the vast army of minute cells which makes up the body.
